The German Kart Championship is going to start in two months. Everyone is excitedly awaiting the season kick-off in Bavarian Ampfing. If you want to be a part of it you should enter your registration now. The registration fee is cheaper than usual until March 11th.
The German Kart Championship is ready for the new season. The locations of the highest German kart racing series are now clear: Ampfing, Kerpen, Wackersdorf and Lonato. Attractive race tracks await the drivers. The Championship has even more to offer though.
All five racing weekends are going to be broadcast live on the internet again and the automobile and motorsports channel MOTORVISION TV is going to show a 30-minute-long highlight-magazine after every event. The package is completed by a permanent organizational and technical team, an extensive race-control as well as non-cash prizes and support packages for the best-placed drivers of the four classes DJKM, DKM, DSKM and DSKC.
Registration for the German Kart Championship has been possible since mid-January and the interest is huge – especially regarding the DMSB Shifterkart Cup. After just a couple of days the class already counted an impressive field of participants. There is potential for improvement among the other classes though. “Unfortunately the drivers are taking their time once again and in the end everybody waits for each other”, says series coordinator Stefan Wagner and continues, “the interest is currently especially low regarding the DSKM. The DKM-regulations state that the class can be dropped if there are less than 20 registrations for it. That would be really unfortunate seeing as the DKSM used to be one of our highlights.”
The current registration papers can be downloaded on the DKM website (www.kart-dm.de). Everyone who enters their registration documents until March 11th 2017 only has to pay 2.300€ participation fee for the whole DKM, DJKM and DSKM season. Only 2.000€ need to be paid for the DSKC. Registrations entered after March 11th 2017 cost a late-fee of additional 300€ per DMSB-grade series.
The newly founded ADAC Kart Academy will also be launched twice as part of the German Kart Championship. The class offers junior drivers between 12-16 years a cost-effective start into karting. All drivers will compete with single brand chassis and engines. In addition to the races in the DKM, the ADAC Kart Academy has two more races at the ADAC Kart Masters and a big final during the Kart World Championship in Wackersdorf.
